
Realme 8 Series Overview
Last year’s Realme 7 Series successor, the Realme 8 and 8 Pro is here. The Realme 8 series has launched officially. This Series has some great specifications and features with a mid-range chipset that fair enough for its price tag.

The Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro have overall the same specifications and slightly different in some areas.
Realme 8 Specifications
The Realme 8 comes with 6.4inch of super AMOLED Display and FHD+ of resolution. There is no mention of a 90Hz or 120hz refresh rate, but Realme only mentioned 180Hz of the touch sampling rate.

The processor on this Realme 8 comes from MediaTek Helio G95 that is built on 12nm of the fabrication process. Other than the processor it has a 64MP Primary Camera followed by the 8MP Ultrawide camera, 2MP Macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor. OEM should get rid of 2MP Macro and Depth sensor it’s useless. On the front, it has a 16MP camera for Selfie shooters in the punch-hole display.


The other specifications are LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 Storage support. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and no NFC available for this device. As for the speaker, it has a single loudspeaker and not stereo speakers.
For security, it used Under Display Optical Fingerprint Sensor which is nice considering its price tag.
It has fueled by 5000mAh of battery capacity that will run all day long.

The Realme 8 also supports 30W of fast charging. This device also has support for a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion. Under the hood, it runs Realme UI on top of Android 11.

Realme 8 Pro specifications
The Pro model of Realme 8, the Realme 8 Pro comes with the same display as the non-pro model that is 6.4inch of super AMOLED Display and FHD+ resolution.

The Processor on this Realme 8 Pro has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor that is somewhat below the Snapdragon 730G and 732G, but 720G is close enough. The processor is built on an 8nm node of the fabrication process. Small nodes help in saving the battery without the loss of performance.

In the camera department, it uses Samsung’s 108MP HM2 sensor that is capable of 9 in 1 pixel binning of 12MP. The HM2 sensor is 1/1.52-inch in size. This sensor helps in better light absorption and better low-light photography. The other camera sensors are an 8MP Ultrawide camera followed by a 2MP Macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the Realme 8 Pro uses a 16MP punch hole camera for Selfie shooters.

Other specifications of Realme 8 Pro are LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 Storage Type. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, a loudspeaker, and an Under Display Optical Fingerprint Sensor for security. There is also a dedicated microSD card slot available for storage expansion.
As for the battery, the Realme 8 Pro is fueled by 4500mAh of battery capacity which is surely less than the non-Pro model. It also has support for 50W of fast charging that can charge 50% in 17 min and 100% in 47 min as advertised. Under the hood, it runs Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11.

The first sale of Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro will go live on 25th of March 2021.
