Xiaomi has added a new smartphone to the K40 Series. It is called the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. Previously it was known as the Redmi Gaming Phone. The design esthetic of the K40 Game Enhanced version has a metallic finish. There is also a Bruce Lee Version.

Xiaomi has been putting a lot of effort into their new Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition because it is their first Gaming Phone under the Redmi brand.

The newly launched Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Chipset is based on a 6nm of fabrication process. The Dimensity 1200 comes somewhere between the Snapdragon 870 and mid-range Snapdragon 780. So the battery backup would come out very well with this one, and the processor is also is capable of heavy gaming. The K40 Game Enhanced Edition scored 724,495 in total on the Antutu Benchmark test.

On the other hand, Display is another important factor in gaming. The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has a 6.67inch 10bit OLED display that supports a 2K resolution. The device also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. The refresh rate of the K40 Game Enhanced version is 120Hz with a 480Hz touch sampling rate.

The Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition gaming phone has four shoulder buttons that could help while gaming. Xiaomi decided to go with the physical shoulder buttons rather than air gestures like the Asus ROG Phone 5. It also has fancy LED lighting around the Camera module with a flashlight in a Flash ⚡ design that pops when there is a new notification.

Xiaomi claims that the cooling system is a low dielectric and high thermal conductivity material. This cooling system helps the device keep cool. Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition is the first to use this cooling system.

When it comes to the camera performance, the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition packs a 64MP Primary Camera made by OmniVision, an 8MP Ultrawide Camera, and a 2MP Macro Camera. The 64MP camera has a Quad Bayer with an f/2.0 aperture. On the front side, the smartphone uses a 20MP camera for shooting selfies.

Now there are other features as well which should be mentioned in this post. The new Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition has Stereo Speaker with three mics for better audio calling or audio recording. WiFi 6, NFC and Bluetooth 5.2 are also available with this device. As for the headphone jack, it is not available with this one. The phone water resistant and has IP53 rating. For the security it uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
